Update on Lizzy's life

Hi friends and family,
I have been out of touch lately because I have been working overtime. I teach now on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and I usually grade papers and/or do assignments for that class another five to eight hours each week. My work schedule is a bit overwhelming, and I am pretty much always exhausted. I don't get to exercise or meditate as much as I would like. I know I can't continue at this pace indefinitely as my health will not allow it. I received a bit of bad news today from my physical therapist. She said that my body just can't handle rock climbing and the high levels of inflamation that I currently experience because of the arthritis. This is a bummer because climbing is one of the few things that totally relaxes me and fills me with joy. Thus, it is emotionally difficult for me to stop climbing. However, this pattern of existence isn't going to be my reality for that much longer. My contract at Metro State is over at the end of June. I'm not sure what that means exactly (i.e. I don't know what kind of work I will be doing, if I will be working full time or part time, if I won't be working at all, etc, etc). I do have some other opportunities on the horizon, so I'm not feeling hopeless. However, you never know what will happen. I sure don't.
Time for bed. Good night!
-Lizzy
