Yosemite climbing, articles, and photo shoots

I've been working in Yosemite the past week. Though it is super fun to be on assignment in one of my favorite parks in the world, it is certainly still work. I find it nearly impossible to organize climbers. It truly is like herding cats. Luckily, the photographer, Keith Ladzinski, is easy going to counter my focused stress. Today we will climb Absolutely Free, an obscure 5.9 put up by Jim Bridwell in the 1970s. It has an offwidth pitch on it. Tomorrow we do Silent Line by Ribbon Falls, and on Monday, Madaleine and I will climb South by Southwest on Lower Cathedral Spire. My shoulder seems to be holding up well. It is sore, but the pain is not bad.
Madaleine is on the Leaning Tower today with Lorna, from SAR. She hopes to try all the pitches today. She got on it a few days ago just for a few hours. She has had trouble finding a partner for the route since her partner bailed because of a shoulder injury. I told her I'd go up on it with her for two days next week, after I finish this assignment. It should be fun to be on a wall for two days, even if I am only jugging.
I'll write more this weekend. We are taking Saturday off to go to the hot springs. I continue to work on Lyons Outdoor Games and Girls Education International stuff, though not to the degree that I would like to work.
